Scott Passeser is Executive Director of Industrial Outreach for Stony Brook University’s Economic Development programs. He is also creator and host of “Jobline,” a TV program focused on personal development and economic initiatives that has been broadcast weekly on News 12 Long Island since 1989.
Before joining Stony Brook, Mr. Passeser held a variety of senior management, sales and marketing positions. He was President of the LIA Re-employment Services, an executive consulting subsidiary of the Long Island Association, where he was selected by the New York State Consortium of Worker Education to run a 12-month program which provided comprehensive re-employment services to over 1000 workers dislocated by 9/11. Mr. Passeser was President of LIjobs.com, Long Island’s premiere online staffing resource. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Millennium Technical Solutions, the IT staffing subsidiary of Integrated Systems Group.
Mr. Passeser is the author of “Ninja Secrets of Persuasion”, an unpublished work commissioned by HarperCollins, and has been featured on “Larry King Live.” He served as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University, teaching advanced communication and writing skills as well as interviewing techniques. Mr. Passeser has published extensively on persuasive communication. His articles have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, National Business Employment Weekly, Long Island Business News, and Newsday. He has been keynote speaker and panel moderator at hundreds of business, academic and civic organization meetings.

Judy Murrah
Co-Chairperson
Judy Murrah is Vice President, Information Technology within Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility business, joining the company through its recent acquisition of Symbol Technologies. Throughout her 21 year tenure at the company, she has held various leadership positions in information technology, marketing and sales. She is named as co-inventor on eight patents related to enterprise mobility technology. Previous to Symbol, she worked with Kaiser Aluminum as an Industrial Engineer.
Within the academic community, Judy has been active in Stony Brook University’s Center of Excellence for Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT), and supports the Stony Brook University Women in Science and Engineering program. She is co-chair of the CEWIT Outreach Program for Long Island Technology Education, a business / academia initiative to draw high school and college students toward technology careers. She is a member of the Smithtown Schools Industry Advisory Board, and has spoken on career opportunities at various towns’ high school and elementary school events. She has worked with several college new-hires within a company-sponsored mentoring program. Judy has held positions on the Long Island Software and Technology Network board of directors and the Long Island Forum for Technology’s Executive Committee. She was the inaugural honoree for the LISTnet / Long Island Business and Professional Women’s Center “Diamond Award”, recognizing technology achievement within Long Island organizations. She received the 2006 and 2007 Long Island Business News Top 50 Women award. Judy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
